"America at Play,"
this week's Lawrence Welk Show, is hosted by Gail Farrell,
who "plays" in
both senses of the word: having fun with her family and sitting
at the piano. The
program opens with "Ain't We Got Fun" and includes
goodtime songs
such as the show's finale, "Take Me Out To the Ball Game"
and "Bicycle Built
for Two" sung by Gail, Sandi and Mary Lou. In a host
segment, Gail plays
and sings one of her own songs, "His Is."
