     For Welknotes:

Thanks to everyone for their notes and cards for Guy
during the aftermath of Katrina.  Things are much better,
but Guy is still going to the Mississippi Gulf coast weekly.
His main concern now is adequate shelter due to the
approaching cold weather.  Your continued prayers
are very much appreciated.

We also want to thank the many fans who sent
contributions to the hurricane fund in Mississippi.
A great big thank you to them also for all the wonderful
comments and kind words following Guy's performance
on the telethon carried by MSNBC, from which our state
is still reaping rewards.  I haven't heard a count lately
but the contributions total is approaching 20 million.
Isn't the work of God's people awesome?

I was so involved in what was going on and visiting
with so many people during all of the Telethon activities
that I did not take but a few pictures. I wish I had more
to share but I do hope you will enjoy seeing these.

There is one of Guy and I made that night at
the concert.  The other two were made at lunch.
One is me with Doris Roberts (from the show Everybody
Loves Raymond) and the other is Guy and I with Cory Bolen,
his nephew (and sister Joye's grandson)
who is a student at Ole Miss in Oxford,
along with Jason Alexander of Broadway fame.

Please pass on to Ron our best wishes for his
continued recovery. And, as always, thanks to Judy
and Ron for the great job you both do.

  Thanks,
  Sis (and Guy) Hovis
